Manual Therapies

Manual Therapies form an important part of physiotherapy and rehabilitation and are used in a number of situations. They are definitely NOT just massage!

Manual therapies allow for the identifiction of trigger points and muscle knots.

 

These can then be worked on by the therapist to break down the restrictive tissues and encourage blood flow.

 

Joint glides allow a gentle increase in the range of movement in affected joints and are an important tool in returning patients to a normal gait.
